Objectives of the Course To learn the binary systems and boolean algebra. Combinational and sequential circuit design using logic gates.
Course Content Binary Systems. Fundamental theorems and properties of Boolean algebra. Logic Gates. Combinational circuits. Maksterm and minterm concepts. Simplify combinational circuits using the Karnaugh diagram. Memory elements, Flip-Flops. Synchronous and asynchronous counter design. Recorders, MSI and PLD applications, applications of multiplexers and decoders. PLA, PAL. Memory Units.
