Objectives of the Course
|
To learn the binary systems and boolean algebra. Combinational and sequential circuit design using logic gates.

Course Content
|
Binary Systems. Fundamental theorems and properties of Boolean algebra. Logic Gates. Combinational circuits. Maksterm and minterm concepts. Simplify combinational circuits using the Karnaugh diagram. Memory elements, Flip-Flops. Synchronous and asynchronous counter design. Recorders, MSI and PLD applications, applications of multiplexers and decoders. PLA, PAL. Memory Units.
