Objectives of the Course The main objectives of the course are to introduce the biotechnology methods for the bioconversion and recovery of the wastes, principles of the bioconversion, the characteristics of the main groups of the waste materials like agricultural, metal, pulp and paper, and specific technologies for the bioprocessing and the production of the valuable products. The problems and advantages of the bioconversion, the product arising from the operation, trends and future possibilities are discussed.
Course Content The general knowledge is given about the microbial species, pretreatment methods and bioconversion processes used for the bioconversion of solid and liquid wastes into biofuels and value added products.
