Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
NoLearning Outcomes
1 Determine degradation reaction kinetics of pollutants found in water and wastewater and find reaction order
2 Have knowledge about reactors and flow regimes used in water and wastewater treatment. Determine mass balances for batch, continuous and plug flow reactors.
3 Determine efficiency equations for all reactor types and compare them.
4 Define working principles and theories for physical unit operations used in wastewater treatment.
5 Design units used in physical operations.
6 Discuss operation conditions of physical units and estimate possible problems.
